Just built a large bench today with the help of a friend.... :D Love it!

I designed it. ;) We still have to seal it... but couldn't resist putting trees on it today... it's doug fir and cedar. It's 8x3x3 foot-ish.

Nice!! I love the lower shelf for pots!!!!

Ooh, very nice. I like the shelf design. That reminds me, perhaps I should build a couple more too...

Thats a great looking bench like the storage shelf. I must say, it looks like you need a BIGGER bench:D

Very nice bench! Even nicer are the trees on it :)

Very nice bench Ms. Vic! :)
I like the concept of the pot storage shelf.
Let us know if you encounter any mineral build up on the stored pots from run off while watering your trees.
I need to build some more benches & might give this idea a try.

Thanks for shareing,

What about running a sheet of plastic under the top offset to run the water away from the table?

Actually that's part of the reason for storing the pots below the bench... aging the pots from run off helps create the authentic feel we are after...

ohhh.... and all those trees aren't just my wife's.... some of them are mine :)

I was thinking you could water some stones on that shelf too, to develop a nice patina.
