from my scrap bin, as you can see the variables with perforated materials are numerous. round, square oblong even triangle.. aluminum stainless galv, tin plate, plain steel plastic..even copper or brass or titanium.. zinc.. all with a different thickness measured in thousandths of an inch. coil or sheet.. cut to size. I was thinking about making a fancy colander box thing out of perforated copper and nice stained cedar wood, the copper can have a very nice patina after a while, or you can add chemicals and make it a cool green color to speed it up?
anyone else need drain screens? hmu ill send it out. aluminum and plastic work best for me, becasue i can cut it easily with tin snips, or even branch pruners, I have this 1100-0 temper aluminum with a 5/32 dia perf on 3/16 staggered center I like best for drain screen, very soft aluminum with a high open area and 5/32 is a good hole size, I also make soil sifters of of that material.
