My first Yamadori trip - Prunus

Um, those ARE kind of small;). Wait until you see and collect your first "big" tree, 100 lb rootball, trunk thick as your leg, 150 lb training pot after 90 percent root reduction...etc. That's the collection path I fell down a while ago.

Do not tempt me!!! hahaha

Now I oficially know how many trees and what size tree is a potencial divorce cause. hahahaha The only way my back yard could look like yours is if I am single again.

My face when I got home and potted the trees up: :)
My wifes face when she got home:

First thing I learned, trees look waaaaaaaay smaller in the field than at home.

Mike, we didn't end up looking for Elms at the end... but I am happy with these, they apparently are cherry no idea if prunus serrulata or not.
Max, you need to get her to the point where there is a lot more of  than . Now occasionally you may get o_O but if you follow it up with ;) then she'll be very :D. I find the best way to keep her :) is to keep her . Capiche?

I just searched walter's site for prunus and found a ton of inspitation (I have it on RSS, and remembered he had a lot of wild ones).
I hope this tree makes recovery from the collecting.

Is it difficult for Americans to immigrate chile? I would love to move abroad. New Zealand or chile. Texas is too darn hot

Texas might be too hot but Chile is too chilly..

Buy three bottles of bourbon and fill a bag with baking soda. Tell her you have given up trees and have taken a shine to booze and dope. She will be begging you to do the trees in a heartbeat.

Definitely worth a try hahaha

That first one looks dope by the way.

Cool looking area. Where is it relative to Santiago? Looks like there is some interesting exposed rock ridges above Peumos. Do you have any kind of native conifers nearby? I once almost made it to Chile for some kayaking. I hear the whitewater is world class there in places.

"Went back..." That first pic. Looks like a dangerous place to be if its rains up in the mountains. I've seen what that can do in the Las Vegas area. Keep an eye on the weather!

Yes, good eye! Huge landslide a week after the first pic. It is very safe unless it is raining hard.

White water rafting is awesome come spring time. Futaleufu is a place you must visit if you are into class 5 rapids.
