Sorry, I know this is a downer....
We put down our 13 year old chocolate lab "Kona" down today.
He has been with us for 12 years, he was a good boy.
His declining health and body finally caught up with him and we had to say good bye.
We will miss him terribly. As with all my dogs, I know there will never be another one quite like him.
I hope he is in dog heaven playing with his "brothers" that left before him.

Pinched candles on this mugo pine.

One of my workers has a girl friend who has stage 4 cancer. She wants a bonsai but I am pretty sure she knows nothing about bonsai and her ability to care for it is limited. I dug up a Chinese elm from my grow bed and made her a bonsai. Under the circumstances, I think this is for the best.

I love that you do kind things for people in bonsai ways. Your a good man, I don’t care what anyone says about you 😉

Repotted my 'Mitsch's Weeping' Scots pine into something a good chunk smaller, jury is still out on if I eliminate that lowest branch in the long run as I see it becoming something within the realm of bunjin. I removed some structural wire as well, they bite in surprisingly fast for a conifer. A slow process, but overall its very satisfying to work nursery stock into something more dynamic.

Bonsai security officer Annie Oakley loves rabbits.

The farm Dog is scared of the cats here.
They can get rather viscous when it comes to food.
One day I walked past the bathroom to find rabbit alive in the bath with a cat at the other end, I save what I can but normally it's just cleaning up the left overs.

That's savage. And just laid on your rug??? Ultra savage.

Unboxed an Acer Palmatum "First Ghost" from Mr. Maple--my first order from them. Very pleased with packaging and plant quality. And it was a decent enough size to attempt a few cuttings, which I've been itchy to do (I'm new, and love the maples). Hoping they root!

Love love the leaves on this one.
