When is it too late to repot junipers (itoigawa) in my area?

I was wondering when is it too late to repot any of my trees (mainly junipers) in my area? I plan to repot some of my trees into better draining mix as some of them hold too much moisture. Thank you.

I repotted one pretty confidently in the dead heat of July, rather confidently my first year in hobby, and it did not go well. Won't do that again. Timing is key, and the OGs on here, not me, speak from experience.

Depends on how intrusive the root work and what kind of after care you can provide?
