Try not to drool on yourself.Spend a night at Timberline lodge, and hike up around Mt. Hood. Beautiful old lodge (the outside of the lodge was used in "The Shining" film) great bar.
I'm a classical musician by trade, and I'll be performing a benefit recital for the Portland Bonsai Village on Saturday night during the cup. The event will soon be listed on the Artisans Cup eventbrite page here: http://www.eventbrite.com/e/the-artisans-cup-tickets-15968308641
All proceeds of the recital will go towards to Portland Bonsai Village. Mike Hagedorn is my bonsai teacher and helped me organize the concert. Some of his personal bonsai will be displayed on stage while I perform, and I'm doing a few nature inspired works. The concert will take place at the Portland Piano company, (711 SW 14th Ave Portland, OR) and will be from 6:30-7:30.
