I live in central Sweden. Temperate continental climate.

Found this potential gem of a tree in my backyard. Where are we at in the knowledge of collecting these? Since its on my land I’ll be able to care for it daily before collecting it. I’ve read all the Oak-threads and the difficulty it presents in regards of yamadori-methods. Any new input from the collective?

I dig my oaks in spring and they live.
There's a popular article about digging them in summer, and I've copied it 20 times and I ended up with 20 dead trees.

Grab as many roots as you can but if big ones need to go, they go. Then let it recover for 3 years. Oaks can live about two years on leftovers, so after year 3 it's good to go.
