Yatsubusa Elm one tree becomes two - Progression thread

I was thinking about making a progression thread with my Yatsubusa Elm.

The history so far:

I acquired the tree in 2020. I bought from a old lady. She had owned the tree for 25 years. It cost me under 70 dollars. I was very lucky to even find a Yatsubusa Elm that old, and for 70 dollars it was a no brainer.

My thoughts was now how to turn it to a bonsai.

Thanks. Yes you are right. The plan is to make more air layers in the future.

Summer update 2023.

I been focussing on healing some scars, growing out new branches, balancing energy and fatten up some of the new branches.
