Workshop w/ Bjorn triple trunk collected limber pine.

Cool tree. My only complaint is the relative lack of movement in the middle trunk as compared to the others and I’m wondering if Bjorn might’ve commented on that. For what it’s worth, I would definitely make room for that one on my bench, straight middle trunk or not :-)

At the moment we pushed the design as far as we could with the limited time we had together.

The workshops was 3 hrs Saturday and 3 hour Sunday. I had to clean foliage, wire the whole tree before we set design. I also was in the workshop with 9 other hobbyist sharing time.

In the future we may added more movement to the middle trunk if needed and if possible.

Definitely will be adding more Shari to the design too.

Yeah, that’s fine. I’ve been in workshops like that before where your tree only gets so much attention from the pro due to them having to work with all the other attendees. I wasn’t sure if he said anything about it or not so I thought I’d ask. I’d assume that even an old limber pine like that may still have some flexibility in the trunk but I honestly don’t know from experience. Good luck with it.

Good looking tree! I love the foliage of limber pine. I hope to add a nice one to my collection some day.

Looking forward to seeing this one in a pot!

Definitely willing to give it a go, it's a good size middle trunk at about 3 inches thick, probably some soft movement can be added with the help of 4 gauge wire and maybe rebar.

Thank you, the limber foliage is a beautiful blue here in Chicago.
