I live in New orleans can I just leave my pine juniper and maple outside all winter. Or do I bring in for freezes. Also same guesting but for bald cypress starts and 15 yo maple. They range from 2-5 years old. Pictures for reference.

It's freezes for a day or two. Never enough to kill my avocados or bananas. Theese pines did amazing in the heat dome, drought, cutting, wiring, repotting. I have them shaded during noon sun in the summer. The maple hates it. Probably going to trade that one for a pine.

I'd suggest you leave the trees outside in the shade where they'll stay as cold as possible. You only need to worry about cold when it gets down to 20°F, and then only for weaker trees and cold-sensitive species. I leave my trees outside on the ground all winter, and I'm in Zone 7 where it's frequently below 15°F, occasionally approaching 0°F.

Outside year round unless it gets down to low teens then put them in the garage for a night or two.

I'm 6a here in Ohio, leave mine out all year, heeled in and protected from the prevailing winds. I would wonder if you're not getting dormancy, how that will affect it over time.
Good luck!

I am from the West Bank, when to John Ehret High School. My mom still lives in Harvey and sister in Baton Rouge.

My wife is from the best bank also.

Sounds doable. Thanks
