Why do I have to re-log in every 15 minutes?

I seem to have to log in every 15 minutes - very annoying.
Is there a way to make log ins last a whole day?

On the top right where you log in...there is a box under your username that says "keep me logged in" or something like that. You need to click that before you hit enter.

I only re-log in after I close/open my browser. Which is about once a month.

I always assumed "remember me" meant that it would remember my username/password and automatically log me on, not that it wouldn't log me off.

None taken. I wasn't really active on this forum until 2011 or 2012, so the early years don't count Still, it is amazing how the "solution" can be right there in front of you and you just don't see it!
