Mini jade would work great inside an office. I have done it myself. Maybe water every 2 weeks?
You can also take a cutting and plant it in some gravel/dirt and the cutting will grow great outside.

For the record, I really love my BRTs. In the winter, they can survive inside but they don't really thrive. I do have some grow lights but the lights were not strong enough to encourage growth. They demanded prime access to my best window. In the summer, they really thrive outside in full sun (or the greenhouse while the temperature is dropping down).

I'm gonna see about getting a BRT later on. They seem like they make great bonsai with the trunk and bark I like.

They make spectacular bonsai… if kept outside

I believe this one won best tropical at Nationals last week, someone can correct me if I’m wrong.
