Where to find this tool?

What does equivocating even mean?
That is a $10 word for sure. I won't lie, I went and looked up it up!
  1. to use equivocal (re- unclear) language especially with intent to deceive

  2. 2: to avoid committing oneself in what one says

    - I assume he was implying the second deffinition was applicable here, but I found it ironic that by using a word so rare he was in effect excercising the primary meaning of the term to a degree with his statement! Ahhh words are fun!

The writer who used to do that best was Janes Mitchner. About every 50 pages or so, he would use a word I didn't know. I could usually figure out the meaning from the context. Then I started looking them up, and almost always there was a little extra in the definition that added to the context.

I had second thoughts and decided I would let this whole thing ride, but you replied as I deleted, @Adair M.

On the scale of caring, one extreme might be 'care a lot'. The other extreme might be 'don't care at all'.

So, if one 'could care less', one's caring is somewhere between the two extremes --> equivocating (or maybe even caring a lot)

On the other hand, 'I could not care more' could also be said as 'I like it a lot'. Simiarly 'I don't care at all' could also be said as 'I could NOT care less'. Might this have been what you intended, but that damn iPhone spell corrector took away the NOT?

Sincerely,
Naught.

Hmm...

I think the expression "I could care less", is a figure of speech, an idiom. Maybe it's a Southern expression, I don't know.

What it means, of course, is "I don't care".

Meanwhile, Britain has voted to leave the European Union and the Global stock markets are in a frenzy...

If one "waffles"...are they making waffles???
I love waffles. I love oysters, too, with or without the bacon.

I thought waffling was also done after drinking tequila....with chicken in the South.

You guys eat the oysters....but give me the pearl....still saving for good trees!

Maybe we should buy stock in an oyster company.

I didn't ruin your day... Those crazy Brits did!

Mine, too!

It doesn't help that a tenant called me at 2 am and told me their A/C unit caught on fire! (Nobody hurt, thank goodness!). Electrical fire. Fire ants got in the relays.

I hate fire ants.
