The "what's new" button says there's nothing new, but I find lots of new material when I just glace thru to forums. Did something break?
 
The 'new posts' button works for me? I've never used the whats new button.

what's new is really "what's new since the last time I did a search for you to see what's new" ... does that make sense?

if you don't read all the "what's new" threads.... you might come back an hour later and browse the forums when it says nothing is new and see things you haven't seen before...
 
huh....so there might be lots of new stuff not under the "what's new" button. So........... "what's new" could really be old;)
 
What we need is a "whats old" button, then that way a person won't waste a lot of time punching the "whats new" button, when punching the "whats new" button won't necessarily show what new, but would then show whats old. By showing whats old, a person could then go to a different forum and find out whats new there and then come back and check the "whats new" button and see what has happened in the last fifteen minutes.

Had I seen the "whats old" button first, I wouldn't have wasted so much time looking at the pretty video's. I would have known they were old news and just passed them over.

For a real challenge maybe a "what's the future" button could come in handy. Maybe a display of a tree with it's roots showing could be in the future.....or maybe its "old" ...I don't know??
 
ohhh no the future is lots of posts ... will sticks in pots.... wanting to know where to trunk chop it.....

and ur ... basicly its "what's new since the last time I logged in" ..... but remember kids... this is a bonsai forum and people here have real jobs, etc... so uhm yeah responses can be slow....
 
Now I'm really confused. :confused:

"New Posts" seems to work OK. Maybe the "Whats New" button can be zapped?
 
I would like to know how to find posts for the last few days, if for some reason my browser "drops the call", then I go back, it shows no new posts, as it thinks I already saw all of them. Then I can't see anything but the stuff on the home page, but not before that. Then I have to go to the forums page, and wade thru each of them for new posts... Can't there be more pages on the home page?
 
The What's New button works just as I expect - it shows me all threads which have new posts since my last visit

Judy if you go to the forums page and look to the right side you can see the dates of the last post for that section, and who did it.
