What is the best angle of view for this tree?to compesate top jin movement vs 2 trunk semicascade.

This is what I think when I see your tree...

I would increase the planting angle to get rid of the horizontal trunk line down towards the nebari. This also increases the energy of the design.

Right now you have a ball of foliage that would need to be pulled way in. I started the process in this virt, but I would go even further.

Thanks Bonsai Nut for your effort to create this. This one definitely will be take into account to be one of the possible choices for the final design...from that simulation, I can see the back trunk canopy as well, along side with the top and bottom jin movement bending forward towards the viewer just nicely for the overall movement.
THANKS BONSAI NUT!

cheers,
Toto

I also like this one.

I do not like the Jin on top... no interest, doesn't fit the rest of the tree. I would shorten it or remove it, then just wire the crown into a nice compact flattened triangle with layers of foliage...

no interest

Did you see this...the only angle that shows its interest?

That swoop and twist is way more interesting TO ME than the straight, ramified one.

I still think this may be the best front.

Toto.....can you reveal the base a bit more and get some pics?

I really like the angle in 505... maybe cause of the lack of depth the camera can see but to me it looks great

thanks for the Vid. It helps.

" I still think this may be the best front. ''
a lot of the feature doesn't compliment each element on the tree. -.-'

hope this angle helps. manage to snap some on the other day.

True jaja87, lack of depth. By the way, is there any 'standard eye level point of view for cascade?' What I mean is do we view it from where it is best to be view-accordingly-(after deciding a front that is), or do we use the level of the soil or pot or apex perhaps to set out view point on cascade or semicascade style. cant find any article on this one or discussion to be use as reference.

Toto

each element

Brainstorming....

I think there are too many elements...
The jins are very far apart, and quite different in "story", which makes a real tree more or less out of the question.
It should be an artsy, finely crafted, "green helmet", but not, of course.

Is it possible to utilize the two parts of live along each jin, with enough seperartion between the two to make two individual trunks complimenting each jin..
Make their stories match...

If you want it viewed at a certain height...
You gotta find out how tall the tables are where you will show it...
And purchase an appropriate stand.
Remembering not everyone is the same height.
How tall are the judges?;)
Make it look good from everywhere!

Oh too...

Don't be afraid to play long game and lay it out now for a future from backbuds and branches that don't even exist yet.

The jins are way to cool to not make it work proper.

That is what I aim now, for it to backbuds and have a smaller foliage so can see more of the jin.
should I open/thin /lay down the foliage for more sunlight to backbud or is it thin enough for now?
Thanks Sorce for your time.

this is something I would gladly to discuss on. I can see where you at it now Sorce. Previously those 2 trunk is slightly far apart and I bring it closer. Now that you mention about compliment each trunk individually, this generate a whole new idea to bring up the tree to a new form.
Definitely will look into this. :)

Say, bring the left canopy lower close to the bottom jin and right canopy slightly higher and close to top jin to have a smooth movement between them(separate them by this) . All in all it will similar to Bonsai Nut idea.
Cant wait till I get back to hometown to see this adjustment. By the way, getting rid one of the trunk (will have more jin) is an option here?Hmm...

Is that the angle we will be viewing the tree from? Looks like a pretty difficult reporting job to me...

I'd cut both the top and bottom back much shorter.

can't decide and reluctant to remove one of the branch. During report couple months back, found an angle that i kinda like and saved both trunk.

what do you guys think ?
maybe slightly turn around clockwise as front so can see the full jin on the right.

cheers
