Always a pro on other peoples trees but I think there's a pretty good shohin/mame or a reasonable penjing tree in that tree. But I'd love the sume banyan the most.
To turn the original question around, what would you do if you had just gotten hold of this tree?
First, I would have identified the tree : I can only grow trees that I know the requirements of, if they're suited to my "environment", that is if they'll thrive in their new environment.
Secondly, I don't buy trees, or occasionally, but
I never ever buy tropical trees.
To me, it's like growing a Larch in Saudi Arabia, or a Premna in Norway, see what I mean ?...
I admit I have two Ficus : one is dying, the other one hardly recovering. Couldn't get rid of them, how ugly they are, No good for bonsai here, except in you invest K€ or dollars for, at lest, a poor result.
So, I think I would offer it to my mother on mother's day, or to a friend that has pestered me with "give me a bonsai, you love me, don't you, give me a bonsai!..."
