I would argue that in business this situation merely creates an opportunity for the owner to move ahead via what is more or less....

The Norm of insurance fraud.

Then we go right back to values and wether or not that business owner wants to work toward rebuilding a valuable part of the community or do the footwork to push ahead with fraudulent funds.

My children are thought everything they need to be valuable, honest, hardworking members of the COMMUNITY.

I think that's all that matters.

You really believe this is a "victimless" crime? That the store owners won't be affected because its insured? that the insurance company is making money on this? That the breakdown of law in a crisis has no impact on our lives? Have you ever lived in a major disaster zone? I have several times. If the situation is bad enough, law goes out the window after about 48 hours if no one is around to enforce it. Looting unnecessary stuff like expensive tennis shoes is only ONE visible symptom of a deeper descent. It is a warning sign that things could (or have) gotten worse. In my experience, rape, muggings, assault generally follow looting. And the color of the assailants and scum varies depending on where you are.
