In the cordless world . You need to choose a brand . Therefore batteries and chargers interchange . I’m a Dewalt. Guy also there a good level of quality . And price point . Also like there large assortment of tools . My debate is do I get the recip saw or the multi tool next . But what I don’t like is there marked increase in battery cost since the rollout of flex volt . Trying to find a deal on 2 4 amp 20v max batt pack

What have I started .

. Some cordless tool thoughts most don’t think about. I’m a car tech and have been using cordless professionally for multiple years . Everyone wants more power . And longer lasting batteries . But they up the cost . And the most common failure is the tool fell . And was damaged . The battery is the heaviest part . And it will land on the battery . Normally failure is the connection to the tool . Lighter lower power that can accomplish the job requirements . Are a lot tougher to break . Look

at several main manufactures . Some smaller companies will interchange . Batteries . Example Dewalt. And some Mac tools . And like all things every company has there best tool that out performs other specific tools but not all they all have up and down . Example Milwaukee. Fuel make the strongest socket impact tool but the batteries are heavy and connection to tool is weak

Almost forgot about these.

Thrift store finds. Drill a couple holes and they'll make nice shohin pots. Less than $2.

Well...my kaneshin carving tools arrived. I was so impressed. I ordered the other two like handled ones. The Draw knife...Mike Lane suggested my adding. But it was already in my shopping cart.

I'll have a cute Kaneshin tool case to hold my carving tools. Geeking out...as I am again so impressed by them...and the handle details...charming.

Added the loop tool...because Jonas said...they can't be beat as well.

This artistic carving...makes my heart beat a bit faster. Can't wait to tackle a couple projects. Artist Herve Dora...a student of Laurent Darrieux. His Japanese maple.

My 6yo noticed her ficus benjamina will need a repot this summer. We had some time to kill this afternoon, so made a stop at Home Depot where she picked this out.
