What’s going on with my Pohutukawa?

It looks like some kind of fungus but could also be just cold weather? I live in Southern California and for us, 38F is as cold as it gets.

That's too bad.. could be black spot fungus, diplocarpon rosae. I would rule out the cold weather. Have my Pohutukawas in a heated greenhouse during the winter months without issues. Keeping it just above freezing during the coldest nights.

I don't have a problem with mine left out to the low 30's F. I'm guessing fungus as well.

Started my systemic fungicide treatment on all of them. Should have started this a couple weeks ago. Thanks!
