Something munching my kalanchoe in the ground. A common fence lizard got him. Either an army worm or a cut worm. Fatty too!

A less creepy scene on another bench this May... posted this in the thread devoted to this cedar elm, but more appropriate here, I suppose (very cool pictures in this thread, by the way, glad I clicked and kept clicking!)

House finch picked a high-traffic spot... apex of the elm... but worked out for everyone in the end (4 healthy hatchlings fledged)
