Update on the straight trunk bunjin

Thank everyone

I like enjoy this viewing this juniper. What you've done for it creates a pleasant peaceful feeling. What type of juniper is it? I've read back, but did not see what type of juniper it is.

Thank you. It is a shimpaku, not exacly sure of the variety.

Rob, I love all your trees...They are elegant...natural...and stylish.

Thanks Neli. Although I also love thicker trunk trees. There is really something special about the thinner trunked, aged and elegant style trees.

Your work with juniper is some of the best i've seen, period. Love the new front, and the suggestion to remove the lower jin, maybe something to consider. Thoughts from a newb. . .

I highly thank you for your compliment. It is really the tree and time that deserve the compliment. After about 5 years in training, this tree still has a moderate amount of wire on it. At some point, I need to take a look at the jins for possible re assessment.

I love this tree. Rob. Do you have a pic of when you first got it?

Maybe and that's a big maybe..lol I wanted to look through some files the other day. However, it might be long search that I don't think will yield any results. I'll see what I can find. It was a tall, straight and overgrown bush in a terra cotta pot.

Awsome tree Rob! Inspiring, too, as I am working for trees as Erik says look good from all angles. It's not that easy and it takes a good tree and a masterful hand, you nailed it! Thanks, Rick
