Unwintering my bonsai. Too early?

Nope, no enclosure. I just mulch them in on a protected side of the house....but they still bud early...especially compared to the native stuff...its always last to bud out.

I have considered a greenhouse/cold frame but ultimately I don't think I really need it here and it would be just one more thing to take care of....

I built a greenhouse at my last home... I never really used it! It was still too cold in the winter for tropicals, and most the deciduous trees and winter hardy trees are fine out in the elements here... In the summer it gets Way too hot in a greenhouse to be good for much of anything it seems, so unless you are going full temperature control in there, and keeping a bunch of tropicals I don't know if they are much use... Sure wasn't for me.

Did ya'll hear we are supposed to get another round of snow in a couple weeks? If it snows in March this far south.... Well that would have to be a first! They are sure calling for it though, in about 3 weeks.
