Late last year I saw two trunks that had been ripped out from landscaping in my town and tossed in a dumpster (as is how I get most of my material). So with permission, I grabbed them, and was super excited for one with good bark texture. And then they leafed out. They’re American Sycamore
dinner plate sized and absolute trash material. That being said, I might try to grow the larger one out into winter silhouette material, and only because it’s about 6 feet high.
