TP Grande Crape Myrtle

So I know what color my crape myrtle is now
The had flowered while I was on vacation. Not much else going on. I do like the color of the flowers.

Just putting this here for now. It needs to recover, and I think I could let it do so this year and another if needed. Base is about 18 inches across. I kept thinking it was double.

Original tree of this thread is going to needs some scar work, root work, evaluate direction of future design, etc. Actually I might skip rootwork this year. May just put it in a different pot as this one is breaking up. Bad plastic for outdoors. Even in pot the callus rolls fairly well. I would like to take it in a similar direction of the larger tree pictured in this post. Good thing this year is I got a better Dremel!

Looks like a mountain range. Is this the Rockies or Appalachian?

The original crape myrtle, I've given to a friend. The new stump still just a stump. Im hoping it's just late in sprouting.
