Tool and wire storage

Hey, I thought of an idea to help people fight rust if you have black carbon steel tools. when stored for a long period of time, either in a toolbox, or a zipped up tool bag, one of these absorbent pads/silica gel packs will help fend off the rust. This will keep your tools looking better for longer. I would obviously continue to oil them as well.

I am here. As John said, I made both of these and they both work well. They are in my heated garage now as I am wiring trees a lot this time of year. Outside in the spring and summer for working out there. Thanks for your interest, but sorry, I don't make these for sale.

Hi folks…

I am looking to buy bonsai Aluminium wire from either stone lantern or other sites ; I see them listed by 2 metrics:
1/ mm = thickness and
2/ kg rolls - 1/2 and 1 kg….
….but they don’t have the length listed - as to how long each roll is …
.any idea what the lengths are or where to find that….
wrote to them…they not sure …..
any guidance will be appreciated …

My site lists lengths because I'm a groovy dude. :)

I also have 500g rolls so multiply by 5

You gotta scroll down, but:

The set contains 100 grams each of:

  • 1.0 mm = approximately 155 feet of wire in the roll.
  • 1.5 mm = approximately 70 feet of wire in the roll.
  • 2.0 mm = approximately 38 feet of wire in the roll.
  • 2.5 mm = approximately 25 feet of wire in the roll.
  • 3.0 mm = approximately 17 feet of wire in the roll.
  • 3.5 mm = approximately 12 feet of wire in the roll.
  • 4.0 mm = approximately 9 feet of wire in the roll.

Thank you both SB and BRB for length tables
