Shohin
So I have this thuja oc. that I was going to try and style (major bends) this year, maybe late winter. Considering this wicked warm winter, anyone have thoughts on when/if to style (Maryland )?
I agree......and, your analogy of the kinked hose gave me a clear understanding. Mighty fine! Thanks.I got a thing against late winter wiring since new buds and growth is fragile, plus, you get like 90% more holding growth in fall.
So I prefer late summer wiring.
Plus there's this thing about a kinked hose being a lot harder to get water thru.
Meaning, wiring now, especially big bends, kinks waterways that may not be able to push sap passed in spring, so it dies. While, after sap begins flowing, it's harder to link the waterways.
