Three Flowering Trees in a trench coat walk into a bar. - Rhododendron Roblee 1, 2, and 3 - Camellia Sasanqua 1, 2, and 3.

The Rhodies are struggling to bounce back from their time in The Frost Prison of Ultimate Thirst!.... the Camellias are bouncing better... they have just got there first dose of LC.. due to seeming fungal persistence from said prison...

Wired “The tree” that I wanted out of these specimens.. and will leave the Tops on for sacrifice/flower viewing.

Next dose of copper, 5/7

Sooo.. looks as though ONE Camellia survived “The frost prison of ultimate thirst”...

After a shaky spring, combatting issues caused by such conditions, it’s rolling forward! 🤣

Mine have set buds also. What are going to do with them in the winter?
They might come in.. i’ve consolidated my rooms.. added some lights.. but I am also building a big “lean-to”-style coldframe... aand the other coldframes.. the above-ground AND access to the frost prison will be protected.. I’m protecting EVERYONE... this cold up here killed Norway Spruces AND Acer Rubrums in containers... no more messin’round! 🤣🤣

I've decided to bring mine inside. I received one in January last year and it did fine until it could go outside in the spring. At the Missouri Botanical Gardens, they have theirs in a heated greenhouse.
