Anything that’s not 100% adulation and praise qualifies as flame bait on r/bonsai. It’s participation trophies for everyone on there, lol. This happens much more on Reddit than here but: posts that talk about a tree's feelings.

That thread is pure comedy. Makes me laugh rather than fight.
Didn't he specifically ask if it was grass, too?Not sure about fight-worthy, but some pet peeves:
"What cultivar is this tree?" - as if someone has a special DNA test they can use through the screen.
"Does this tree have potential?" - Silly. It's a seed/seedling and has infinite potential. It's a Walter Pall tree and has no potential to be anything other than the master tree that it is.
Anything with the words "indoor tree" in it.
Not a thread title, but folks asking a question totally unrelated to a specific thread.
On that note, this is my favorite fight-provoking thread:
OP: Can someone identify this bonsai?
Response: It's a monocot, blade of grass.
OP: Something to the effect of "f#$%^ng c%$t"
I guess he was expecting a maple?
Oof, yeah. But the opposite too: people who say that chemicals are nazi and that all problems can be resolved with water.''Experts '' who prescribe indiscriminate use of pesticides without knowing whats actually wrong with someone elses trees and believe that treating with chemicals is the only way to keep all trees healthy!
I am guilty of this from time to time because it is so reassuring to see that in the answers here.Comments that rile me up too are the ones where people ask "how should I use this stuff?"
Seriously dude.. You have it in your hand, it's on the label!
