This is a parsons juniper I spotted and bought this spring. It kind of reminds of Vance's quasi raft mugo pine. Which is one of if not my favorite trees ever.
Cut some limbs back and some roots and changed some soil at time of purchase. It needs a lot of work still but I'm pretty excited about what it may become.

If Vance was to ever decide to sell that tree I would take out a loan to obtain it. I like to build my own but exceptions would be made.

Mike, you're absolutely correct about the Mugo. It was easily the highlight of the four seasons show for me, the photos do no justice at all.

Good luck with the juniper. I find self rooted branches to be a really interesting focal point and I'm sure you'll have fun developing it!

For what ever reason my trees are difficult to photograph. It has always been that way I know not why.
