We really need to see the tree in way that shows a better profile from all sides. Most of the time people will show four images straight on turning the tree a quarter turn each frame (if that makes sense).

Hi @Vin, first I thought what that man was talking about, it was 100% cleare and I was 100% sure I had shown the best front. But you made me to put the tree on a turntable and take a camera. Thanks for that.

...well, this is my Quasimodo red pine. But what's interesting? I have found two new popossible fronts.

They, esp. the last one look temptative, what would you all say?

But the lower part of the trunk becomes less intresting straightish imo

Another tought
Wrap that trunk up with raffia or vetwrap get some heavy wire on and give it some more wiggle to it!

Thank you, Dennis. Yes there is a better branch placement definitely. And I think looking at the trunk from inside of a curve is more pleasant. The tree will rest one year at least, so no heavy bending in close next future.

I agree; but the back could become the new front very easily if needed.

@defra is spot on with that in post #100. Myself I would go with a larger low pot like a plastic bulb pot or a low profile terracotta for now. Also, earlier it was mentioned to scar the roots a bit. Do that at repot and bury them for now.

Yeah and it's not the first time. I had better to put a mirror behind a tree when styling, if it's only way I can be satisfied with the front, lol.

I hosed up the BB codes somehow.

New keyboard with a hyper-sensitive keypad. Cursor suddenly goes places when I get near the space bar. I sometimes have great difficulty just figuring out where the cursor is and, hence, overlook how I've buggered things. Then I don't look at my post, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera ...

Looks like a cool maple raft !

But to get the help or toughts from other nuts please take a picture from eye level with the whole tree on it and preferable from all 4 sides and if possible in front of a less distracting background !

Its hard to visualize the options without a clear immage of the matterial you posted

From the back view, you can see the snaking trunk is actually connected in various locations. It was originally over/around some rocks. The canopy is fairly uninteresting once you get above the main trunk.

If there is a tree without direction....
Finding an appropriate accent for it...

Could help one decide on a path.

This maple for instance...
Throw a delicate flower over them dead fingers....
And all of a sudden we have this cohesiveness of ugly and pretty....
Probly too same same...
