A bit off topic but still within our guidelines, I have been interested in these stones for decades. I have several smaller ones but my larger ones I sold years ago, with some regrets. I am planning a visit to the Sonoran Desert in late winter to enjoy the botanic and geologic wonders of the region. I was planning the end of February 2025 and possibly into early March. Now I am considering going to the Tucson Gem Festival which would move me up to late January to early February. Does anyone know if there are any vendors of viewing stones?
I really don't much care for the competition of large crowds at 75 YO, and winter is the only time I can travel for any time. Any info from anyone who has attended this event would be very much appreciated.

I have a pal in our study group that is quite a suiseki collector and he goes to that show every year. There are vendors there that offer suiseki however he rarely buys any because of the quality. He does also collect minerals that somehow manage to come back with him from the show. It’s a very large show and there are always new vendors showing up but suiseki is a very esoteric hobby.

Thanks Dave. The high end collectors are well beyond me. When I had a store I had some fabulous pieces, but I sold them thinking I could re buy when I wanted to. But now I find those pieces selling for ten times what I was selling them for. I am taking a lot of smaller pieces to the Winter Silhouette Show in a couple weeks. They sold very well for me last year.
