Styling/development help with Mr. Thuja

Probably last pic before this goes into the ground or grow pot.
Not sure what to put it in.
I have a large Mica drum pot or pond baskets, my only concern with putting it in the ground is that it is small and could see it getting beat up by whatever.
Any suggestions? I suppose I could make up another wood box. 😁

Starting to perk up in the greenhouse.
Made some small adjustments and added some finer wiring. DA4DE297-A3BF-4D4C-A3DF-55A119865057.jpeg

Looking great!!! Gaining much "age".

Have you tried rubbing that bark between your fingers and gently removing it? I bet there is sexy, red, "new bark", hiding gloriously beneath. (Obviously if the bark doesn't "want" to go, no good comes from forcing it's 'comfort zone')

Thanks. Yeah it’s tempting to peel the bark off, and I do peal it at times. I also like seeing it shaggy loose bark before it falls off.
