So I guess he didn't install new security cameras, as well as motion-activated flood lights and alarms?
It is sad that anyone should have to think this way, but he is going to be out $4000 because he didn't install $1000 worth of security devices. I would even check video footage of who visited the nursery before the last break-in, and who returned in the last two weeks, since I doubt the thieves would return a second time without casing the property to see what (if anything) had been done after the last break-in.
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me
Regardless... no one should have to live in fear of getting ripped off.
They must be in the industry to even have an idea what the machinery was for. Likely farmers, landscapers, gardeners or something along those lines. Probably fairly local too, as thats pretty brazen to come back again in just two weeks, they must have felt comfortable around the surroundings. Its all open fields and farms up that way, a few nurseries dotted about and family run businesses.
I had to look it up since I had never heard of such a thing. It is a fancy cement mixer. I have never seen anything like that in the US - our cement mixers are more like a big barrel that rolls on its side.
That sucks I really like his YouTube channel.
In 2003 it was our first Christmas in this home and it was our sons first Christmas. So we were going to go big, we put up a ton of lights and yard decorations of several Disney characters and even had a real nice nativity scene. Everything looked really nice. The next morning we woke up and someone stole the nativity scene! I had each of four statues staked down to stand up against the wind and it looked like someone tied a rope around the statues and pulled them out with a truck or something. Tore up big chunks of my yard. Your going through all of that trouble to steal a baby Jesus.
With these trees you can't go down to the value store and replace them. Yeah I bet that they have monetary value, but the real value is the time and care that Peter put into these trees. You can't just get a tree and stick it in a pot and call it a bonsai.
