Thoughtseriously about the trailer, but went with the $100 box.
I rented a "$19 a day" van from the local U-Haul to get trees to a show a couple years ago. Found out my particular local U-Haul store's "$19 a day" special is really $79 per day, plus gas and mileage (which would be about 110 miles round trip for the oak).
Between you and me, I am dyslexic when it comes to driving a trailer. I once had to back a friend's 20 foot boat into the launch ramp and, well, it wasn't pretty. ;-) There would be LOTs of backing down dirt paths and fences to get the tree. Don't want to lose it because I'm a really bad driver. They charge mileage for vehicles but not for trailers. Trailers are fixed rate, flat fee. But, you have nothing to show for your money when done. With your box, you still have the box, and can use it again and again and again, and the cost to you remains the same.
Nice looking tree, btw
I won't if you wont., don't tell her...
