And I’m feeling an intense wave of panic wash over me... lol. But really, at least here in upstate New York I usually don’t do my first repot until the end of the month. But just this week my dwarf lilac, hawthorns, and Chinese quince are pushing buds very fast and I thought I had a couple more weeks to make sure my soil is is ready to go!!! Anyone else in the same boat?

right there with ya. I’ve already reported multiple trees. Also doesn’t usually happen till the end of March early April. Fortunately, my spruce, New Mexico olive and euonymous or moving slower.

It’s got me worried especially because I know I will have to repot a number of things now or in the next week or two... but the 30 day forecast here is showing temps consistently in the low 20’s at night towards the end of the month and into April for a couple weeks. And I don’t have a garage or overwintering structure. I have shuffled a few trees in and out the house in past years but I may be setting a new record this year. Spring will be a major pain in the ass this time around!

Im nearly done with my repotting, just waiting for couple of trees, most of mine are leafed out, i started repotting in first week of Feb, all trees in the greenhouse doing well......
Weather is crazy

Not here in Bay area. Some of my maples are hardened off, finished most of my repots by end of Jan!

I'm with you and was like oh crap! Been repotting for a few weeks. Put em outside when temps are good like they have been, but then the dips back into low 30's have me moving em back into the garage. I'm ready for the warm temps to stay!

Dear God, who did you report them to?
Lol, just messin'....

I've been keepimg a keen eye on my trees, Hornbeam branches are getting some color, but buds arent swelling yet.
Chinese Elm still asleep.
Small Maple seedlings are turning red...
All else still asleep for me....
But its been warm....59f right now.

All the landscape trees are blooming in my area.

i did a hawthorn 6 days ago that was already in leaf, today it looks the same as it did 6 days ago....its just been in shade
and a hornbeam today

I've started my repotting in earnest this week. So far I've had elms, blueberry, trident maples, and hornbeams open up. Just repotted a field maple that is swelling today. New leaves on the cotoneaster, my japanese maples are all within days of opening up. Spring is upon us and I'm just hoping for the next two weeks to stay above freezing here so my repotted trees can get at least that much established before the freak late winter weather comes in this month or next month and I'm moving 30 trees in and out of the garage....

It's still freezing at night up here at 3000', but that didn't stop my River birch from popping some buds. That and my plum are always the first to show sign. Everything else is still in deep sleep and I'm chomping at the bit to get going!

F ing auto correct does not recognize repotting even though I’ve typed it out 2 million times.

I have a few trees with opening and swelling buds. Should I bring the few starting early inside over night this weekend they are calling for 28°f here sat and sunday night?

No Worries.

I've seen the Geese, the Robin's, the worms, the lillies, the maple flowers......

That Forsythia is late!

It's only going to hover around freezing at night it seems. Should be good.

1 month early.

But mine are still sleeping.

hawthorn pop so early here in the UK, I’m not sure I’ve seen a species that leafs out earlier. I walk past many hawthorns everyday.

Down here spring is two weeks late compared to previous 4 years when I compared my picture journal for the same exact date. Right now my bald cypress, ash, oak, pear, maple, jujube, pecan, gac, tamarind etc. are just budding. In past year they were fully leafed by today 3/14.
