Some Pre Bonsai Finds

Sup guys! I got out for a bit yesterday to a garden club plant sale and a local wholesale nursery. I’m pretty excited about what I picked up but was curious what u guys thought is worth messing around with. Of course I’ll end up messing around with everything but just curious if the vets see any hidden gems or wastes of time. I got a Yew, a bunch of vine maples, jade plant, common boxwood?(is what my plant app says), small juniper & some freebie rosemary’s. Thanks for looking

Hey is that a taxus brev? If so where and are there anymore?

Ahhh I see the tag now. Japanese yew. If anyone in the Portland area knows of reasonably priced taxus brev I’ve been hunting for one for a friend.

Ya its labeled Japanese Yew but this was from the plant club sale. I honestly wouldnt know the difference….I’m learning about trees as I go hahaha. It was $5 up at the Corbett firehouse they might still be doing the sale today
