I am picking up some indoor tropical plants and I was hoping someone can tell me how much light these need?
1- Water Jasmine ( Wrightia religiosa)
2- Barbados Cherry ( malpighia pendiculata)
3- Kumquat ( fortunella hindisii)

I am running a light fixtures for the ficus I have but was not sure how much additional light these will need.
Hopefully these are considered indoor tropicals.

Thanks

My Barbados Cherry cannot take direct TX summer sun. It grows better when treated like Trident Maple w/ some shade so I guess your artificial light if sufficient for Ficus, would be for it too.

No experience with the other 2.

I think more problem with the cherry would be drying out as they need lots of water, I have never had a problem with Fl. sun or in the summer Ohio sun, but let the roots dry out once and they shrivel severely. Kumquats I have never used as bonsai but they grow all over Fl. and seem very hearty outdoors in full sun.

Ed,

Good to know. It might have dried out a bit during one of my out of town weekend trips.

Thanks!
