This little tree is so early in the training process, I'm not even sure that I will keep any of the branches that are on it! Once the branch of an azalea is pencil size, you can't bend it without snapping it.
But they back bud terrifically if they're healthy, so you can get branches all over. The idea is to make it back bud to get new branches, then train them to grow out where you want with a bit of wire, develop taper in the branches by letting them grow out then cutting back.
