re potted this early Feb. disregard the pot. i cant' find a suitable pot for it yet. Maybe another month or two, i will do some adjustment on the pad position. finger cross the branch wont break.

That’s a species I’m not familiar with,so you are probably right about it being easy to snap.

yup. the pad need more time and adjustment. will find a better pot in future to suit the tree.

Yes on the literati x 2. I would not hesitate to put it on my bonsai bench. It definitely has a pleasing personality. If YOU like it, that's really all that matters.

I am trying to learn all I can about literati styling. I like this tree but agree the jin doesn’t work. If the tree is so brittle, what if you bent one of the jins down until it broke off?you could then lay it on the ground under the tree so it would look as if it were broken by nature. Kind of a Nigel Saunders type of display.
