Should I be concerned and any idea on what might be going on with this juniper? I purchased it about a month ago. Was repotted in spring by previous owner. Didn’t look like this a month ago. Thanks in advance.

That COULD be tip blight, but I have never seen it during this time of year. Has this tree been pinched? It looks like you have healthy tips elsewhere, so I wouldn't be too concerned.

It’sa little overgrown. So I didn’t pinch and I don’t think he did. He was an older guy getting rid of his collection. So several of the trees I bought had been neglected. But this tree hadn’t appeared to have been. Overgrown and in need of some thinning and restoring structure. But otherwise in the best condition of the trees I bought.

This time of year, autumn, I wouldn't expect mites to be an issue.
That could hint towards a root issue or a shade issue.
My junipers in the shade kill their own tips sometimes when everything else is OK.
My junipers in the sun kill their own tips if they're underwatered.

Thanks, it is getting more shade than before now that the sun is shifting. I get more shade from the neighbors trees now. So it’s getting early morning and late afternoon sun. Not the full sun it was getting. Maybe my watering was off. Been getting weird temperature fluctuations 80’s to 60’s back to the 80’s. 39 degrees F in the morning the other day then 82 during the day.
