This month it was held in my backyard. The main focus this month was how does one get the small tree with the large root base into a shohin pot? we did that by talking about bonsai stands and the pots that go on them. How to reduce large root masses to properly seat them into tiny pots.

6 guys showed up. We had a great time. First liar never stood a chance.

Elms grow so fast if you guys listen you can hear them grow!

Looks like a great time was had by all. I just wish there was just one other person besides myself interested in bonsai in my town. Was Ken To given instruction on how to wire properly

I've been wanting to get a few of Ken To's creations. I'm a fan of his work.

very nice. I wish I had access to a shohin study group where I live. The Dayton group is pretty small but maybe there could exist a midwest group that meets one weekend every summer

by the way that yard is beautiful...I'd love to have something like then whenever I get around to getting a house!
