I like the concept, wondering how the length between supports will stand up over time. It does look like the supports are designed to be used at varying lengths if needed though. With 2 by 6 or 2 by 8 planks I find that support every six feet is needed to prevent bending and sagging over time. perhaps the picture distorts the length.Just sharing my new bench. Ready for spring.
I agree with Frank on you may need to reduce your length to avoid sagging. You could likely leave 1 to 1.5 ft extended beyond each support cantilevered and use most of your chosen 2x material.I like the concept, wondering how the length between supports will stand up over time. Here my first bench I made over the past week-end.
The poles bolt onto 2x 24x24 concrete tiles so it is still possible to tip it over but its not easy at all, very stable bench in the end.
