Seiju Elm Pruning Questions

So i'd probably reduce the two trunks, like what I did with this elm https://www.bonsainut.com/threads/oak-style-chinese-elm.26816/
I'd let it grow all next season and chop in summer, around mid June
The trunks are currently too long and look out of proportion. Start looking at good bonsai trees and you'll understand better when the proportions are ideal.
I like that idea, and it's something I hadn't considered. I'd had it in mind to cut one of the trunks way down as part of the "deadwood" part of the project, but I actually like the look of the two trunks at two different heights with foliage. Are you saying to grow through until mid June or so next year, 2024, and then chop? Or grow all the way through next season and chop in 2025?

would it be outlandish to create shari as a way of helping to remove reverse taper in some areas? It's not that bad, but it's bad enough.
Since the bark is the defining characteristic of the Seiju cultivar of Chinese Elm, I would be pretty hesitant to remove a section of it unless absolutely necessary. That said, I'm a noob, and I'm sure there's someone out there who could make it look good.
