I'm looking for a seiju elm, and might also be interested in a small leaf cotoneaster or a non grafted dwarf Japanese maple.

My budget is circa $200 per tree. Doesn't have to be a finished product, but I'm looking for a decent caliper. Mostly interested in natural looking, informal upright trees.

Check out Brent at evergreen garden works. If you don’t see an image of what you want on the site, message him. He may have something not up yet. He’s very responsive and quite reputable.

I bought a 1 gallon Yatsubusa from him in August and it is a GREAT starter.

Great suggestion. I bought numerous plants from him this year including a cork bark elm, but he didn't have any gallon size seiju (or 4 inch that were in good shape according to him). His specimen trees are too nice, but if he had one in my price range, I'd buy it.

hmm. I bought a 1 gal Yatsubusa a 4” seiju and a 4” Corticosa. All are long term projects. But elms are such prolific growers.

The seiju looks great. I emailed him recently about the seiju and he said they were pretty picked through. I'll bet you got yours before then

Now I need a cotoneaster. I have an apiculatus with a 1 inch caliper, but looking for a smaller leaf variety
