Got this beefy Chinese elm from Wigerts. Normally not a fan of the S curves but here I am. Thought this one was well done. Has a 3 1/2 inch base. Most likely will air layer this into two trees. Just have to figure out where to layer. Also has subtle taper though all the way up from the first view if I keep it this way, and the S curve isn’t too crazy.

I think I like the trunk moving the right the most. Curious to see you also try out some different angles.

Thinking a low chop on this. Also considered a higher chop as well. Either air layer at the blue or yellow line for a second tree.

Thought about trying to use the entire tree but I haven’t seen any S curves that look great. If anyone has examples would love to see them

Moved this into a wider pot today. Gonna start the air layer soon.
