I'm interested to buy a bird plum. I wonder if it would thrive in zone 9. Channelview Tx. Any advice ?

It can stand to 45F outside. I put it in or out during that time, than when it is colder it stays in an unheated room without any extra conditions.
Maybe a month in total in my climate. It is thriving and I have to cut it 2-3 times in growing season. it throws 5 feet shoots. 100% inorganic is must.

Full sun ? Watering ?
Full sun now half shade or full shade in summer hot( watering twice sometimes). In 100% inorganic practically every day,you can skip a day if it is raining or high humidity
(mine is outside but under roof) inside every 3-4 days.

Watering ?
It shows a slight wilt on leaves when it needs water, bounce back in half hour when it is watered again.
If not in 100% inorganic it is a helpful sign, because it is prone to trunk root at the base if overwater in mix that retains water long.
