Amazing what eating dust from a 7" and 4.5" diamond grinders for forever does for ones constitution.Rocks were had at my local landscape and stone masonry place(Brock/White) and are a stone used for retaining walls called Lichen Mix(I think). Its not too hard--the outside is less hard than the inside. The photos are bleaching. Most of the stone was covered in mosses when I started. Its about 18" long, has a drainage hole and I expoxied in some wire hoops. It is designed for a specific tree.--I think. The key is slicing lots of parallel cuts no bigger than 5/8" or so and snapping them off. Dust mast and eye pro are a must.IMG_1899.JPG IMG_1900.JPG IMG_1901.JPG

Way above my pay grade.
Don't play well with power tools--don't ask.
Awesome work though
And whatever is fortunate enough to be planted in/on
it will have an original piece of art to wear as a frame.
Too cool.

It looks awesome! Always liked this kind of "pots". Sorry if you specified, but I did not get that, what did you use to carve the stone?

Looks really good! I like how you left the edge rough...should look great after it has a tree in it!

Nice! Great size as well - bet it looks great planted ;)
