Remembering to Forget

The other day while waiting for the kiln to cool down, I picked up this book that I read a while back.


I forgot how much of it I remembered.

In fact, I live my life by these very principles.

Everything I have ever said can be decoded in understanding this.

Anyway the reason I wanted to share this with you is because of the 15-30 or so different renditions of "you must research this deeply" that is at the end of every lesson.

As here, please do not let the specific lesson and underlying meaning go over your head.
You must train hard to understand how this is related to Bonsai.

Even those who do not care for "broccoli" or "pinemaples" should appreciate what these levels of deep thought and research do for US.

I highly recommend this book.

Miyamoto Musashi - 宮本武蔵- (AKA Shinmen Takezō, Miyamoto Bennosuke or by his Buddhist name Niten Dōraku) and "the rules" are a great way to face life.

I 100% believe this! furthermore, there is no respect! Respect for the past, elders, experience, nature, etc. It is sad state to see.

there is no pride in how you helped someone, but rather how you got over on them. Me , Me , Me, will only bring just that, alone, alone and lonely. There are way too many Laptop Larry's, as I call them(no offense to anyone named larry) but they get all big, say all sort of crap, and never back it up.

Here is a memory -

A moderator of an Art Forum, had an annoying person, full of opinions
on the list..
Mostly nonsense.
The moderator is 6' and he went to Chicago and met the annoying one.
Barely 5' 3 " but on the computer, a big man [ mouth ]

But there is more, the guy didn't recognize the moderator, and was
humble and meek in response in reality.

Same happened to Nic, met an Internet friend who was 6' and going
on 5' 6" and.................. not what he pretended to be on-line.

We used to call these types ---- Arm chair generals.
