I just realized I haven’t posted anything on this old quince clump. I acquired it in a broken pot from Owen Reich in 2020 I think. Also not sure on the origin of the pot but Owen said it’s old and Japanese. It was broken clean in two when I got it and I decided to do a false Kintsugi repair on the pot and continue to use it for the tree. I really liked the lichen and general feel of age on the clump.

2020 just a few weeks after acquisition:

First time I saw it flower in 2021.

And here we are March ‘24

This one has flowered fairly weakly since I’ve had it, though I repotted it and did my first real root pruning of it last Fall and I hope to see it restore vigor and the goal is to increase ramification and hopefully increase flowering. Thanks for looking!
