Pot Making forum

They show up for me, so I don't know where the problem lies.

[EDIT] Fixed. All it took was a second cup of coffee :) There are three separate sections of code that generate "New Posts" lists in different parts of the site. Two of them were working properly, but one needed a little coaxing. :) It was working for the old forums, but not the new ones. All taken care of! [/EDIT]
Our Hero strikes again!

What colorado said, very nice! Oh to retire to Spain :)
Thanks for the kind words. Just about 18 months into my Bonsai ceramic journey. New gas kiln arrived recently. Another steep learning curve about to happen. Some recent pots.

My latest pot is this small mame. I've made about 8 pots in total so far haven't fired any because of lack of a kinView attachment 461667
That's a great surface, like it's eroded. Can I ask how you made it? I understand if you'd rather not share. Some of the first Mushikui pots also had intriguing surfaces:

I used a clay scoring tool like this, I'd like to make some different shapes with the same textire

You let the cat out of the bag. I am anxious to try this on one of my stone age pots.
Why not share, that’s how you progress, if you make better pots that makes me make better pots, which will make someone else make better pots

You are so right my friend. Yet I know many potters who are some of the most secretive people I know. If they tell you, they gotta kill you sort of thing.
I picked up the wheel you suggested and another type of wheel that may be helpful texturing. Most people here know I am all about texture for most of my pots. But honestly, I love a refined pot as much. Its just that stone looking pots are my bally-wick.
The two wheels I just bought:

I have a red one but I fine a hard nylon wire brush works better for me

Nice lines! I'd love to see a shot of that biggest pot

Very nice. I use a jig like below to make precise angled corner cuts. I'm sure there's a better way
